Church „Emanuil“, located in the town of Rakovski, is evangelical church and is part of the big family of evangelical pentecostal-charismatic churches in Bulgaria. The church was founded in 1991 by pastor Neno Nestorov (a dedicated christian and servant in Evangelical Pentecostal Church – Plovdiv city).
Pastor Neno has been pastoring the church since 1991 until 1997. In 1995 the church was registered to the Evangelical Alliance (United churches of God), located in Sofia city.
In the spring of 1998 pastor of the church becomes Veniamin N. Nestorov, son of pastor Neno Nestorov, as a result of the guidance of the Lord.
In the next years up to now, the church is growing by planting daughter-churches in the nearby towns and villages.
The vision of the church is connected with the meaning of its name, which God gives in the very beginning – Emanuil (Emmanuel), which means „God with us“. As a result of the word which the church receives from the book of phophet Haggai, it works in two directions:
I. Founding and building spiritual home (Haggai 1:4-8).
II. Unity in the body of Christ (Haggai 2:4-9).
We believe that God is with us when all of us together look towards one direction, listen in humility and work in obedience according to His will. He promised: „According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.“
